$20K Reward Offered To Help Solve 2017 Murder Case

A year-long investigation has yet to develop any suspect leads in the homicide of Brian Elton Spaulding, who was killed June 12, 2017.

PORTLAND, OR — The 2017 murder of Brian Elton Spaulding remains unsolved. His family and friends, however, hope to change that soon.

After privately raising $20,000 over the past year, Spaulding's family and friends are offering the cash as a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whomever is responsible for the 36-year-old's death.

Crime Stoppers of Oregon is also offering a $2,500 reward for the same information.

Spaulding's death was first reported just before 12:30 p.m. June 12, 2017.

According to police, Spaulding was found in a house in the 3500-block of Northeast 10th Avenue, off Northeast Fremont Street and near Highway 99E.

Evidence at the scene and confirmation from the Oregon State Medical Examiner led Portland police to initiate a homicide investigation. That investigation — now a year in — has yet to establish any suspect information or even a reason as to why Spaulding may have been killed.
