5 Food Festivals in Portland this September
September is the month for food and fun in Portland. Check out these 5 festivals.

The Oregon Fermentation Festival is a family-friendly, day-long harvest festival of fermented foods and beverages. It is set among the beauty of a 150-acre farm on Sauvie Island. This is the biggest fermentation festival the Pacific Northwest has ever seen. Saturday, September 10th from 11am-6pm.

Mount Angel’s Oktoberfest, a celebration of the harvest in Bavarian style. It's the 51st Celebration Sept 15-18, 2016. With live music, authentic Bavarian food & drink as well as arts and crafts, it's a great option for the whole family.

Presented by Portland Beer Week, Willamette Week and Burnside Brewing Co. The Fresh Hop Pop-Up Fest will feature eight rotating draft beers pouring outdoors in a beer garden setting. Expect one-off and rare tappings from some of the Pacific Northwests best brewers and daily tappings and specials. All beers will be available in two sizes - 16oz pints for $5 or half pints for $3. Cash is preferred but there will be an ATM on site.
The fest will have a variety of beers from many breweries on at all-times but will be tapping new fresh hop releases with the brewers from 5-7pm on these dates:
Tues. 9/20 - Fremont Brewing
Tapping 'Field To Ferment' Fresh Hop Pale Ale in two versions, one with Centennial fresh hops and the other with Simcoes.
Wed. 9/21 - Laurelwood Brewing
Tapping Fresh Hop Workhorse IPA and Fresh Hop Free Range Red.
Thurs. 9/22 - Breakside Brewery
Tapping last years 'Beer of the Year' as chosen by Willamette Week: Fresh Hop Simcoe IPA and Fresh Hop Cascade Wanderlust. Possibly a TBD 3rd fresh hop beer if it's ready in time!
Friday 9/23 - Fort George Brewery + Ecliptic Brewing
Fort George releases Fresh Hop IPA with Amarillos and CoHoprative (mixed fresh hop). Ecliptic Brewing will tap their Fresh Hop beer and run it through a fresh hop Randall!
Saturday 9/24 - TBA
Also expect beers from: Barley Browns, Double Mountain, GoodLife Brewing, Burnside Brewing and much more!

Taste of Latin America 2016 will build on the success from its inaugural year, delivering a unique-to-the-region Latin American culinary and cultural experience, while creating economic development opportunities for entrepreneurs who are at the beginning stage of business. We plan to welcome more than 25 food vendors representing different countries and regions of Latin America -- Mexico, Central America, Caribbean Islands and South America. To compliment the diversity of foods and beverages, there will be a wide variety of high quality Latin American entertainment including live music, dancing, kid friendly activities and art.
