6-Car Train Derailment In Portland Sunday
The afternoon derailment near Veterans Memorial Coliseum and Moda Center caused no injuries, Portland Fire & Rescue officials said.

PORTLAND, OR — Six train cars derailed near Veterans Memorial Coliseum and Moda Center just after 4 p.m. Sunday, Portland Fire & Rescue officials said. No injuries have been reported.
The derailment, which included three lumber carrier cars, two box cars, and one tanker, occurred on an S-curve in a rail yard near the intersection of North Interstate Avenue and North Thunderbird Way.
The tanker and derailed box cars were reportedly empty, and no leaks have been found at any part of the train.
