Here are the top three stories today in Portland:
- Police are investigating after a person was shot and killed at an airport hotel in Portland on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. at the Embassy Suites on 82nd Avenue and Airport Way, where officials say between one and three suspects fled the scene. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police at 503-460-4023. (KATU)
- The Salvation Army hosted its annual Thanksgiving dinner at the Moore Street Corps Community Center on Sunday. The dinner feeds community members in need, including individuals who don't have a family to celebrate Thanksgiving with or those who could not otherwise celebrate the holiday. After serving 170 people last year, the Salvation Army prepared to dish up 300 meals at this year's event. (KGW.com)
- Indigenous portraits have been installed throughout the city in honor of Native American Heritage Month. The latest mural, which features more than 10 portraits of Native American activists, volunteers, and community members local to Portland, was installed last Thursday at the headquarters for the Regional Arts and Culture Council in the Pearl. A complete list of "We Are The Land" portrait viewing locations around the city is available at the link. (OregonLive)
