Armed Robbery At Subway Tuesday Morning Marks 2nd Of The Day

Police are searching for two men suspected of armed robbery at a SE Portland Subway shop just before 5 a.m. April 10.

PORTLAND, OR — An armed robbery at a Southeast Portland Subway shop has police searching for two suspects Tuesday morning.

East Precinct officers from the Portland Police Bureau were dispatched at 4:45 a.m. April 10 to 2411 S.E. 122nd Ave. following reports of an armed robbery.

Witnesses told police two men came into the sandwich shop and demanded money; one of the men allegedly held a handgun.

Taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the men fled the area and were not located by police.

The suspects are described as either black or Hispanic men — one short, armed with a handgun, and the other tall.

A similar robbery involving two men and one handgun was reported just before 2 a.m. Tuesday roughly two miles to the east, at a Plaid Pantry located at 16226 S.E. Division St.

Police have not said whether the robberies were perpetrated by the same individuals.
