Rosen reportedly lived at an apartment near the school, but it's unclear why he'd have been on the grounds Sunday. Also unclear is why he became the victim of homicidal violence.

At a press conference in Portland June 19, Rosen's father, Jerry Rosen, told reporters his son "was the nicest guy."

“The killer deserves the full extent of the prosecution by law in this state," said Rosen, a California resident. "We hope that that happens, but it can only happen if somebody steps forward.”

Along with not knowing why Rosen would be shot, police do not currently have any suspect information to share either.

Anyone who can help further the investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 503-823-4357, submitting a tip online, or using the Crime Stoppers' tip app, P3 Tips.
