Beavers Soccer, Number 1 In Nation, Clinch Pac-12 Championship
The Oregon State Beavers men's soccer team clinched their first-ever Pac=12 title in Corvallis on Thursday night.

PORTLAND, OR — You better Beaver believe it. Oregon State played to a draw with Washington on Thursday night. While some might say 2-2 is a tie, for the Beavers it was an absolute win.
The result made the Beavers men's soccer team the sole owner of the Pac-12 championship. It's the first for the soccer team in the program's history.
It came just days after the team was also voted number one in the nation in the latest poll of the United States Soccer Coaches. It was also the first time in the program's history.

All this bodes well for the Beavers as they await Monday's announcement of the seeds for the NCAA Tournament. the Beavers are expected to get one of the top four seeds.

"I'm just so proud of our team. I mean, I'm overwhelmed, honestly," Head Coach Terry Boss said after the game.
"They fought, they played our brand of fútbol from the first whistle to the last and I'm just so thankful for everything they've done for this program. It's a great way to send our seniors out."
Both teams were scoreless in the first half. Each team held the other to just one shot one goal.
The second half was a different story.
Mouhameth Thiam, a sophomore for the Beavers, scored an unassisted goal just seconds in. The Huskies then scored two goals before the Beavers were able to tie the game in the 85th minute.
They played two overtimes but to no avail. It was enough for the Beavers, though.
It was the second time the teams played this season. Earlier, the Beavers beat Washington in Seattle, handing them their only loss of the season. The Huskies were ranked third going into the game Thursday.
