Police ID Cyclist Killed In Traffic Crash
Daniel Feldt, 50, sustained serious injuries in a collision with a truck on Tuesday, police said. He died two days later.

PORTLAND, OR — Police on Thursday identified the bicyclist who was struck and ultimately killed by a passing truck on Northwest Nicolai Street Tuesday morning.
The death of Portland resident Daniel Feldt, 50, marks the 17th traffic fatality in Portland this year.
Portland police were initially dispatched to a car versus bicycle crash in the 2700-block of Northwest Nicolai Street just after 8 a.m. May 15. The crash forced officers to temporarily close a portion of Northwest Nicolai Street, between Northwest 27th and Northwest 29th avenues.

Investigators said Feldt turned east while exiting a parking lot along Northwest Nicolai Street just before he was struck by a passing truck.
The truck driver reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
