Democratic Power Player Terry Bean Indicted Again On Sex Charges

Terry Bean faces the same charges that he did when he was first indicted in 2014. He's charged with having sex with an underage boy.

PORTLAND, OR – Terry Bean, the Democratic fundraiser and LGBT activist with a national profile, was back in court on charges stemming from an incident that prosecutors say happened in 2013.

Bean had been indicted the following year on charges that he had sex with a 15-year-old boy.

After the teen who said he was the victim refused to testify. At the time, the judge told prosecutors that they could file the charges again if things changed.

Bean is facing two counts of sodomy and one count of sex abuse.

While the victim in this indictment is not identified, the person has the same initial as the person who claimed to be a victim five years ago.

Also, many of the details of the attack in the second indictment, mirror those that are in the first.

In 2015, Bean had offered the person $225,000 to settle the case in a civil agreement. The judge rejected the offer.

Bean is an Oregon developer who has deep ties to the Democratic Party. He was a major fundraiser for President Obama and even flew on Air Force One.
