Here are the top three stories today in Portland:

  1. Yesterday morning, amidst the ice storm, a water main broke in downtown Portland. The main at Southwest 1st Avenue near Arthur Avenue broke open and flooded the street. The Portland Water Bureau estimated the fix was going to be a 12-plus hour job. (KOIN.com)
  2. Flights were affected on Friday morning due to the ice storm that hit Portland. Alaska Airlines canceled every schedule flight to and from Portland until noon that day. It was estimated about 80-85 percent of flights at Portland International Airport were canceled. (KGW.com)
  3. D'Amore Law, a Portland-area law firm, is reimbursing Uber, Lyft, and cab service rides on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. In the spirit of the holiday, and among the icy road conditions, the law firm wants to help keep people safe. Rides up to $50 will be reimbursed.
