Dream On Saloon Strip Club Shooting Victim Identified By Police

Police say that a dispute outside the Dream On Saloon strip club in the early hours of Tuesday morning left one person dead, one arrested.

PORTLAND, OR – Portland Police say that the man who died after being shot outside a strip club early Tuesday was 42-year-old Eugene Pharr, Jr.. Pharr was rushed to the hospital where he died.

Pharr was shot by a security guard at the Dream On Saloon at 15920 Southeast Stark Street

Police say that the security guard confronted two men, one of whom was Pharr and the other is in Multnomah County Jail after being arrested.

That person has been identified by police as 42-year-old Henry McCollum who is charged with robbery and unlawful use of a weapon.

A caller to 911 told dispatches that the security guard had been outside when he was approached by two men.

The confrontation led to a dispute and then the shooting, after which the two men fled.

Police say that the security guard has been cooperating with the investigation, which continues. Police say that the guard turned over his gun, which police seized as evidence.
