Drunk Driver Hits Traffic Control Trailer: Police
Carlos Perez-Jasso reportedly smashed into a trailer-mounted traffic arrow board in a construction zone along SW Macadam Avenue.

PORTLAND, OR — An alleged drunk driver crashed into a trailer-mounted traffic control board in a construction zone along Southwest Macadam Avenue early Thursday, sending the entire trailer down an embankment and into a parked car, according to Portland police officials.
Carlos Felix Perez-Jasso, 43, was taken to Multnomah County Jail following his arrest. He was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, failure to perform the duties of a driver, and reckless driving. He was later released on his own recognizance.
Portland officers from the Bureau's Central Precinct were dispatched just after 12:30 a.m. June 21 to a hit and run crash in the 4000-block of Southwest Macadam Avenue, in the Southwest Waterfront area of downtown Portland.

Traffic control flaggers at the scene told officers a green Volkswagen Cabriolet drove over several orange road cones before smashing into the trailer-mounted arrow board. The driver of the Volkswagen, later identified as Perez-Jasso, then reportedly drove north from the scene.
An officer reportedly spotted Perez-Jasso's heavily damaged Volkswagen in the 3400-block of Southwest Macadam Avenue and conducted a traffic stop.

Perez-Jasso was arrested shortly after and without further incident.
No injuries were reported.
