Expect Delays On Sandy Boulevard This Week

PGE crews will install an overhead transmission line, forcing temporary delays along a portion of NE Sandy Blvd, west of NE 223rd Ave.

PORTLAND, OR — Commuters should expect delays on a portion of Northeast Sandy Boulevard this week.

Beginning Monday, Portland General Electric crews will install an overhead transmission line in Fairview that will cross Northeast Sandy Boulevard between Northeast Blossom Hill and Northeast Willow Glen roads, just west of Northeast 223rd Avenue.

The work will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. May 14 through 19.

Watch out for flaggers controlling traffic flow, and expect delays up to 15 minutes.

Commuters who want to avoid delays can seek alternate routes along Northeast Halsey Street, to the south, and along Northeast Marine Drive or Interstate-84 to the north.
