Firefighters Rescue Cat From Mobile Home Fire In SE Portland
No cause has been determined for what started the fire, and no other people were home at the time. The cat's doing OK, though.

PORTLAND, OR — Firefighters saved a singed kitty cat from a mobile home fire in Southeast Portland's Lents neighborhood Tuesday evening.
Portland Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched to the fire in the 8400-block of Southeast Lambert Street just before 5:45 p.m. Jan. 23.
When they arrived, crews found the mobile home's kitchen engulfed in flames. Nevertheless, and despite a few challenges, firefighters were able to quickly douse the fire — and rescue a smoke-stained cat, which firefighters saved with oxygen from a specially designed piece of equipment made specifically for animal rescues.
