Portland Hazmat Scare At Bank Of America After Employees Get Sick

PORTLAND, OR – Hazmat units are at the Bank of America on 82nd and Holgate after two employees apparently became sick after touching money. The situation forced the bank's closure while emergency units investigated.

At one point there were nine emergency units on scene trying to figure out what made the employees sick.

After probing the situation, firefighters were able to determine that the employees had accidentally been exposed to paint thinner.

They were treated by EMTs at the scene. Neither required hospitalization.
