Madison High School Spends Hour In Lockdown, Man With Gun Busted
Police arrested a man with a gun as he ran towards Glenhaven Park. He'd been spotted near Madison High School, which sent it into lockdown.
PORTLAND, OR – Meet Christopher Dwayne Washington. He's 20-years-old and was taken to jail Tuesday afternoon after police say he was arrested on "numerous gun-related charges.
Police say that officers responded to Madison High School on Northeast 82nd Avenue just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
A student had reported seeing a man with a gun near the tennis courts across the street in Glenhaven Park.

Based on that, the school went into lockdown while police searched the area.

Officers soon spotted him running to the park and took him into custody without incident.
Washington was not a Madison student and police say that they have no information that he was planning on entering the school..
