Man Charged In Christmas Morning MAX Station Robbery And Stabbing
Saul Vela is charged with assault and robbery in connection with the Christmas attack that sent someone to the hospital with a stab wound.

PORTLAND, OR – Saul Vela will spend part of the day after Christmas in court. That's because Portland police say that on Christmas morning, he robbed someone and stabbed a man, sending him to the hospital.
Police say that at 6:40 on Christmas morning, 19-year-old Vela approached three people at the MAX platform on Southwest 1st and Oak.
Vela, who may have had others working with him, stabbed the victim as the two others fled, police say.

The victim was still in the hospital on Wednesday morning.

Vela faces charges of assault and robbery.
