MAX Train Strikes, Kills Pedestrian Friday Night, Police Investigate
A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday night by East Burnside Street and Northeast 160 Avenue Friday night.
PORTLAND, OR — A MAX train struck and killed a pedestrian Friday night, according to Portland police. It happened around 10:30 p.m. by East Burnside Street and Northeast 160 Avenue.
Police said that officers responded after being informed of the crash by TriMet. The person was dead when they arrived.
The train was heading west at the time of the incident.
