- Deemed no longer necessary, Portland's Mayor, Ted Wheeler, withdraws the proposal to ban public drug use in the city after a bill passed making fentanyl possession a misdemeanor. He withdrew the proposal after legislation passed House Bill 2645, which allows authorities to charge offenders carrying a gram or more of fentanyl with a Class A misdemeanor. (KOIN)
- A Portland woman is facing attempted murder charges on top of several other charges after allegedly shooting a woman who refused to fight her at a local convenience store. According to reports, the female victim was at a convenience store parking lot when the attacker showed up in a red sedan, challenging her to a fight while holding a hammer. When the victim refused, she was shot three times before the attacker fled, but she was later found and arrested. (KATU)
- 61-year-old Stephen P. Wolfington was arrested for shooting an injured woman in a manufactured-home community in Northeast Portland.
