Missing Portland Woman Found In California; Family Raises Money
Angela Hernandez was found at the bottom of a coastal cliff 7 days after she went missing. She is reportedly recovering in a hospital.

PORTLAND, OR — Portland resident Angela Hernandez, who'd been missing for seven days, was found by hikers last Friday at the bottom of a 200-foot cliff in California. Hernandez reportedly plummeted off the cliff in her Jeep Patriot when she swerved to avoid hitting a rabbit while traveling the Big Sur coast on Highway 1.
Now reportedly recovering from her ordeal at a hospital in Templeton, California, Hernandez, 23, is said to be thankful and 'in awe' of all the people who tried to help find and rescue her. In a post on GoFundMe, Hernandez's sister, Isabel Hernandez, explained that the family is now raising funds to help offset the expenses made while searching for Angela and to help recoup some of what Angela lost in the crash — namely the cost of her totaled 2011 Jeep.
"[Angela] says she met so many beautiful people for her rescue and help bringing her up the cliff," Isabel wrote in an update on GoFundMe.com. "In her accident, she has lost everything. Including her car, which was her livelihood. I’m sharing this again because any little bit helps, it will all be going my sister who lost so much and gained so much all in one time."

Hernandez was missing since July 6, when her family last heard from her via text just before 8 a.m. that Friday. A married couple hiking and fishing along the coast reportedly stumbled across her half-submerged Jeep completely by accident days later.
The damage to the Jeep was apparently catastrophic. Chelsea and her husband Chad Moore reportedly didn't think anyone could have survived whatever had happened.

When they found Hernandez, who also apparently looked rather haggard, the Moores reportedly had no idea she was the subject of a massive search and rescue operation. They just saw someone who looked like she needed help, they told local news stations.
On Sunday night, Hernandez shared her story in her own words on Facebook.
