Murder Of Marcine Herinck Similar To Unsolved 2017 Murder
Is there a connection between the murder of 89-year-old Marcine Herinck and 68-year-old Merrilee Cooley in Clackamas County?

PORTLAND, OR – When the body believed to be that of 89-year-old Marcine Herinck was found in the trunk of Timothy Mackley's Toyota Camry this week, it set off alarm bells in the offices of detectives in the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office. It bore some similarity to an nsolved case they had last year.
Herinck had gone missing on Sept. 19.

He has pleaded not guilty.
Clackamas detectives are working with Portland police to see if there are connections between Herinck's murder and that of 68-year-old Merrilee Cooley of Johnson City.

Cooley was reported missing just after Christmas in 2016 by her family. A couple of weeks later, he black 2016 Kia Optima was found in the parking lot of the Miramonte Lodge Apartments on Southeast McLoughlin Boulevard. She was in the trunk, a murder victim.
She had a handcuff on one wrist.
The investigation into both murders continues.
