North Portland Shooting Probe No Longer A Murder Investigation

Police sat that one man was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being shot Friday morning in North Portland.

PORTLAND, OR – Portland police are hunting the man who shot someone Friday morning in North Portland. The shooting happened just before 10 a.m. by the intersection of Rosa Parks Way and Albina Avenue.

Police told reporters that the man had died but later took it back, saying that the man is on life support.arrived and found a man on the ground, having been shot.

The shooter fled the area.

The man was rushed to the hospital with what the police say are life-threatening injuries. He is on life support.

Police have only said that he's a man in his 40s.

The gunman is described by police as being a black male in his 20s, medium build, wearing gray or black clothing, and that he ran out of the area, last seen running northbound on North Mississippi Avenue.
