Old Town Stabbing: Portland Police Hunt Man Who Stabbed Victim

A man walking with a friend along Northwest 1st Avenue was stabbed in the arm by someone who then fled.

PORTLAND, OR – Portland Police are looking for someone who stabbed a man in Old Town very early Thursday morning. The victim, who was stabbed in the arm, was treated and released at a local hospital.

Police say that around 3:15, the victim was walking with a friend along Northwest 1st Avenue by Couch when they were approached by a man who they told police was "acting psychotic."

The man then stabbed the victim in the left arm.

Police arrived and applied a tourniquet.

An ambulance then took the victim to the hospital.

Police searched for the stabber but couldn't find him. He's described as a white man in his 20s, around 6-feet tall, bald, and wearing dark clothes.
