One Injured In NE Portland Shooting Wednesday Night

While officers responded to the scene of the shooting incident, officers conducting an entirely separate investigation found the victim.

PORTLAND, OR — While investigating an incident at Legacy Emanuel Hospital in North Portland Wednesday night, officers reportedly saw a man arrive at the emergency department with multiple gunshot wounds.

The injured man had apparently been taken to the hospital in a private vehicle after some kind of shootout near Northeast 109th Avenue and Northeast Sandy Boulevard.

Officers at the scene of the shooting, evidently unaware of the situation simultaneously unfolding at the hospital, learned someone had been struck by gunfire just before 9 p.m. June 27. But when they arrived, the victim was already gone, police said.
