Oregon Man Says He Can't Pay Taxes Because He's Christian: Video

An Oregon man accused of tax evasion said he doesn't want to inadvertently pay for abortions.

OREGON -- An Oregon man this week said he cannot pay taxes until the government stops funding abortions. Citing his Christian beliefs, Michael Bowman said he doesn't believe he broke any laws, according to a report by The Oregionian.

Bowman is facing charges of tax evasion, the newspaper reported.

In an interview with the newspaper, Bowman's attorney said "He wants to pay taxes but until the government stops promoting the murder of babies with his income taxes, he cannot pay. The very moment, the instant that his money is no longer being used to promote murder, he will gladly pay every cent he owes to the government.''
