Overdose Killed Man Who Struggled With PSU Officers Thanksgiving
The Multnomah County Medical Examiner said that Richard Barry died from a drug overdose and that it was accidental.

PORTLAND, OR – The 52-year-old man who died after struggling with Portland State University officers on Thanksgiving Day died from a drug overdose. The Multnomah County Medical Examiner ruled that Richard Barry died from "acute Methamphetamine and Cocaine toxicity."
His death was labeled accidental.
The officers had been called to check on Barry who was running and yelling by Southwest 6th and Mill.

Approached by officers, Barry fought them, injuring one of the PSU officers.

They were then joined by two Portland Police officers who rushed Barry to a hospital where he died.
The four PSU and two Portland Police officers have been on administrative leave while the investigation into Barry's death is ongoing.
