- Police have identified the man who was shot and killed in Portland’s Parkrose neighborhood last Wednesday as 49-year-old Jason Kinsfather. Police responded to the shooting on Northeast Glenn Widing Drive around 9:00 p.m. on Nov. 23, where Kinsfather was found suffering from a gunshot wound. The Portland Police Bureau’s Homicide Detail is investigating the incident. (KOIN.com)
- Multnomah County officials held a public hearing on Monday to solicit feedback on a proposed ban on the sale of flavored tobacco. The ban is supported by county healthy officials, who say it would help cut down on underage tobacco use, while critics of the ban say it would be bad for business. - A popular Portland brewery has opened a third location in the city. The new Gigantic Hawthorne Pub opened last week on Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard and will include a full kitchen serving European-inspired pub fare. The pub also includes around 20 taps and two cask beer engines, as well as multiple indoor and outdoor seating options. (OregonLive)
