Police ID Victim Of Fatal Sunday Night Shooting In SE Portland

Portland police said Izryl Johnson, 21, was the man killed in a neighborhood shooting off SE Holgate Boulevard this past Sunday night.

PORTLAND, OR — Police on Tuesday identified 21-year-old Izryl Tajae Johnson as the man killed in a shooting on Sunday in Southeast Portland. Police have not released any suspect information.

Johnson was reportedly shot in the 4000-block of Southeast 94th Avenue, near the Southeast Holgate Boulevard MAX Station, around 11:45 p.m. Oct. 7. By the time emergency responders arrived, Johnson was already deceased, police said.

Multiple people in the neighborhood reportedly called 911 to report gunfire in the area, but police have not released any suspect information. In fact, other than describing Johnson's death as caused by homicidal violence, police have not released very much information about this case at all.
