Portland Area Weekend Forecast Shows Cooling Temps, Maybe Rain

Friday will bring the same sunny and hot weather that we've been seeing. Then the highs will drop and rain may arrive.

PORTLAND, OR – It's been hot. Sunny and hot.

But, as these things tend to do in Portland and the surrounding area, that trend is going to be disappearing.

While Friday is going to reach a high in the mid-80s, that's going it be it for a while, according to the National Weather Service.

Thee will be a chance of showers both days but not a terrible storm or torrential downpour.

It is the last weekend of September so none of this should be unexpected.

The area will keep its fingers crossed for the usual mid-October last gasp of truly beautiful weather before the rains return.

Enjoy it while you can.
