Portland Couple Sues Aeromexio, Delta Over July Crash
Donald Hudson and his wife, Colleen McCormick were with their children heading back to Portland after a two-week vacation .

PORTLAND, OR – Donald Hudson and his wife, Colleen McCormick, and their four kids were finishing up a two-week vacation in Mexico in July. They were ready to head back to Portland when they got on a plane that would take them on the first leg of their journey back home.
The flight – operated by Aeromexico and Delta – was going to take them to Mexico City first.

Despite the weather, the plane took off. It didn't stay in the air long.
Soon after, it crashed into a field next to the airport.

While all 103 people on the plane survived, there were injuries to several.
McCormick was one of those injured and was the most seriously injured in the family. She suffered a concussion, a broken nose, and other injuries..
Now the family has filed a lawsuit against the two airlines, asking for damages stemming from pain and suffering from the surgery and related medical issues as well as money for their emotional stress and the traumatic stress that they've experienced since.
The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Portland. They airlines have not yet responded to the suit.
