Portland Fire Knocks Down Gas Line Fire At Animal Crematorium

The fire, which started around 11 a.m., forced the evacuation of the building. No one was injured.

PORTLAND, OR – While one might expect there to be fire at a crematorium, no one wants it to be on the roof. That's what happened Thursday morning at Family Animal Services on Northeast Riverside Parkway.

Portland Fire & Rescue responded to the building at 17819 Northeast Riverside around 11 a.m..

People were forced from the building while firefighters did their job.
