Portland Fire & Rescue Man Stuck Between Two Buildings

Portland Fire says that the man iw stuck between two buildings at Southwest 6th and Alder.

PORTLAND, OR – A man stuck between two buildings downtown had to be rescued by Portland Fire & Rescue on Wednesday night. It happened at Southwest 6th and Alder.

The man, who was safely rescued and rushed to the hospital, did not have any serious injuries.

The call came in just after 5:30 p.m..

Portland Fire says that their Technical Rescue Team was able to safely get the man out.

Officials believed that the man had got into the 12-inch space between the buildings via the 5th floor of one the buildings. They believe that he had fallen about 20 feet.

Firefighters were able to get to him by entering from the eighth floor and then strapped a harness to him and pulled him to safety.

Officials have not said why he had moved into the space between the buildings, saying only that he was not being chased by law enforcement at the time.
