Portland Homeless: City Picks West Side For New Homeless Village
Portland announced a new homeless village will be built on the Southwest Multnomah Boulevard as part of its Safe Rest Village program.

PORTLAND, OR — Portland has hard some obstacles getting its Safe Rest Village program off the ground. Soon after announcing its first three choices, the city had to back off the plan because one of the sites was located on the flood plain.
City Commissioner Dan Ryan, who is overseeing the Safe Rest Village program, announced that a replacement site has been found.
Ryan announced that a village will be built at the former Jerome Sears Army Reserve Center on Southwest Multnomah Village.
