Here are the top three stories in Portland today:

  1. A new immersive, extended reality experience is open in Portland. The new exhibit in the Portland Art Museum, called "Symbiosis," was created by Dutch design collective Polymorf and plunges participants into a fictional world set in a post-humanist future, where people “symbiogenetically” join with animals, plants, and artificial intelligence. The exhibit opened on Nov. 12 and will run until Feb. 12, 2023. (OregonLive)
  2. The 13th Annual Fred Meyer Coat Drive launched on Monday. Now through Dec. 1, residents can donate new coats for kids and adults in Portland and the surrounding area to help those in need stay warm this winter. The drive, which is hosted by The Trail Blazers, Fred Meyer, and ROOT SPORTS, will benefit local nonprofits including Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland Metro. 3. In nearby Tigard, a man was arrested after a three-hour standoff with police on Saturday. 54-year-old Worth Briggs — a wanted man who had a felony warrant out for his arrest for first-degree attempted kidnapping — was found parked at the 7-11 on Hall Boulevard in Tigard. He tried to escape when police told him he was under arrest and ended up crashing into a utility box which caused an hours-long power outage for several businesses. After about three hours, he was taken to jail on charges of attempting to elude police, reckless driving, hit and run on a vehicle and on property, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest.
