Portland Man Admits Assaulting Deputy With Sriracha Doritos
Cyrus Sullivan didn't want to be returned to solitary confinement last year. He threw crushed Dorito chips at a deputy.

PORTLAND, OR – This case was a chip off the old cell block. Cyrus Sullivan appeared in federal court to Portland where admitted that he assaulted a sheriff's deputy. His weapon? Sriracha Doritos.
It was June 28, 2017 and Sullivan, in jail at the time, was told he'd be returned to solitary confinement.

Deputies then open the cell. Sullivan responded by taking the Doritos he'd been eating, crunching them up. and throwing the dust at Deputy Tim Baker.
Prosecutors maintained that the Dorito dust had been akin to pepper spray and that Baker had been injured.

Sullivan's lawyer originally disagreed, contending that the prosecution never showed any medical evidence to support that contention, adding that there was no record of Baker being treated or having missed work.
Sullivan suffered a broken arm in the melee that ensued.
He''ll be sentenced in November. He's expected to get time served along with three years probation.
