Police say that Antoinette Riley is charged with possession of a weapon in a public building after her gun went off at Jason Lee Elementary.

PORTLAND, OR – When the school year starts, kids are often told what they can and can't bring to school with them. Apparently, a similar list is needed for parents.
Portland Police say that 27-year-old Antoinette Riley is charged with possession of a weapon in a public building.

Police say that she had been picking up her child at the school, was in the cafeteria, and dropped the bag she was carrying/ In the bag was a gun. The gun went off.
No one was hit, no one was hurt.

By the time that police arrived, she was gone but they caught up with her not long after.
The gun has not yet been recovered.
