Portland Pedestrian Hit By Car, Crash Witnessed By Police Officer

A Portland police officer saw a sedan crash into a pedestrian who was critically injured. The driver stayed on scene and cooperated.

PORTLAND, OR – A man crossing the street was rushed to the hospital with serious life-threatening injuries Wednesday night after being struck by a car. The crash around 167th and Powell in Southeast Portland happened just before 7 p.m..

An on-duty police officer assigned to the East Precinct witnessed the crash.

The man was hit by a sedan.

As of late Wednesday night, no charges had been brought in relation to the crash.
