Portland Police Charge Man With Sexually Assaulting Stranger
A woman was in her home Monday afternoon when, police say, Damascus Menefee sexually assaulted her.

PORTLAND, OR – A man entered a woman's home on Monday afternoon and sexually assaulted her. Portland Police say that 39-year-old Damascus Menefee is charged with rape, burglary, trespassing, and other crimes.
Officers responded to a report of a burglary in an apartment on the 16000 block of Southeast Stark Street.

When officers arrived, they heard a woman who lived in the apartment yelling for help.
Police say that Menefee had sexually assaulted her.
