Portland Sees Second Stranger On Stranger Sex Attack In 3 Days
Police ay that Joseph Green broke into a woman's home on Southeast 17th Avenue and raped her. It was the second such attack this week.

PORTLAND, OR – For the second time in three days, a woman in Portland was in her home when a stranger came in and raped her. It happened very early Monday morning on Southeast 17th Avenue.
Portland Police say that a woman and her roommate were sleeping in their bedrooms of their home on the 2900 block of Southeast 17th Avenue when 30-year-old Joseph Green walked inside, entered the bedroom of one of the women and raped and attacked her.

Once safe, the two quickly called 911.
Officers found a man matching the description they were given by 15th Avenue and Clay Street. He was taken into custody without incident and later identified as Green. He is now charged with rape, assault, strangulation, and burglary.

On Monday afternoon, a woman in her apartment on the 16000 block of Stark Street, was attacked by aman that police say raped her.
Damascus Menefee is charged in that attack.
Portland Police say that despite the attacks coming so close together, stranger on stranger sexual assaults are a rare occurrence.
