Portland Teen Hospitalized After Weekend Crash Dies At Hospital

Police say that Collin Page was riding his motorcycle on Southeast 97th Avenue when he crashed into an oncoming car.

PORTLAND, OR — Collin F. Page was 18 when he crashed his motorcycle into an oncoming Cadillac on Saturday. Rushed to the hospital where doctors and nurses tried to save him, he succumbed to his injuries on Monday.

Police say that the crash was the 59th time the bureau's Major Crash Team has been called out. Of those, 53 have turned out to be fatal.

It was just before 1 p.m. on Saturday. Page was driving his motorcycle westbound on Southeast 97th Ave. A 75-year-old woman was driving a Cadillac west, turning left as she did when Page hit her.

She stayed at the scene. Police say that Page's speed contributed to the crash.

No tickets were issued and the woman has not been charged but the investigation continues.
