Portland Weekend Marred By Gunfire, Stabbing
There were at least four shootings and one stabbing over the weekend. Remarkably, only one person was injured the shootings.

PORTLAND, OR – While the weather in Porland was beautiful this weekend, it was a weekend marred by at least four shootings and one stabbing. One person was injured in the shootings while two people were stabbed.
The stabbing happened Saturday evening.

At the home, officers found a man and woman, both adults who had been stabbed. They were rushed to the hospital with injuries that were considered serious but not life threatening. A man was also found at the house who police said is the suspect in the incident.
He was arrested without incident and police recovered the knife that they believe was used in the attack.

They have not released any information about what might have prompted the attack or whether the victims and suspect knew each other.
Meanwhile, police were kept busy investigating at least four separate shootings.
The first one occurred around 9:30 Friday evening by Northeast 9th Avenue and Northeast Holladay Street, No one was injured.
About two hours later, police responded to another shooting – this time on the 5200 block of North Willis Avenue. No one was injured but at least one car was struck. Police say that they found other evidence of the shooting as well.
Police say that about three hours after that, officers were called to Northwest 6th Avenue just south of Flanders. There was evidence of shots having been fired. Again, no one was injured.
The fourth shooting – the only one with an injury – happened early Sunday morning.
Officers arrived at a room at the Budget Inn at 11417 Northeast Sandy Boulevard after getting a call that someone had been shot.
While officers found evidence of a shooting, there was no victim. A little while later, the man they believe to have been the victim arrived at a local hospital emergency room. His injury does not appear to be life-threatening.
