  1. The Oregon Historical Society will be hosting children's author Elder Linda Meanus on Tuesday, Jun. 20 at 6:00 p.m. The event will be celebrating the release of her new book "My Name is LaMoosh." The book will teach young readers about Native American history through a first-hand account. Copies of the book will be available for sale at the event. (Oregon Historical Society via Facebook)
  2. A New program called Housing Multnomah Now wants to move homeless people into housing as quickly as possible. The program is focused on homeless people camping under the Steel Bridge in Old Town. Outreach workers have screened around 75 people in that area. The group has a goal of eliminating homelessness in Portland's Central City. (Fox 12 Oregon)
  3. In case you missed it - Two teenagers were shot and wounded Tuesday evening in Southeast Portland near Mt. Scott Park around 9:45 p.m. A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old were both transported to the hospital where one is in serious condition but the injury is not life-threatening. The Portland police are investigating this incident. (KATU)

  • Jason Lee Elementary School in Portland has won the 2023 Richard M. Robinson Literacy Champion Award. The award rewards a school for showing progress in reading achievement. The school will be receiving a library makeover and more than 6,000 new books. (Portland Public Schools via Facebook)
  • Portland Parks & Recreation wants you to know that their Summer Free For All program is starting soon. An important part of the program is the Free Lunch + Play which provides free lunch in the summertime when school is not in session.
