- Portland Police are seeking the public’s help locating the driver in a deadly hit-and-run crash that killed 19-year-old Mekko Jackson in the early morning of Oct. 26. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Traffic Investigations Unit at crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov and reference case number 22-286754. (KATU 2)
- The Portland Rescue Mission has filed a police report after an unknown suspect stole donations from the organization. The group estimates that the theft could affect around 1,000 donors and $100,000 worth of gifts. Anyone interested in donating is advised to give online via the Portland Rescue Mission’s website and avoid sending checks via mail. (KOIN 6)
- The National Weather Service advises Portland residents to be prepared for the possibility of freezing rain next week between Dec. 20 and Dec. 22. Meteorologists predict little snowfall for the region but anticipate more than an inch of rain in some areas of the valley. Motorists are advised to take precautions amid hazardous driving conditions. (KOIN 6)
