Sitton Elementary School Gets $20,000 Grant From Local Company

Purdy, a division of Sherwin-Williams that has a plant in North Portland, presented Sitton Elementary with a $20,000 grant to help them.

PORTLAND, OR – Kids at Sitton Elementary School got some good news. There's going to be more books in the library and there will be more field trips for them to go on.

It's all because of a $20,000 grant from Purdy, a division of Sherwin-Williams that makes brushes and rollers.

The division has a plant in North Portland, just two miles from the school and has had an ongoing relationship with the Sitton. Purdy employees have donated more than 600 volunteer hours to the school and performs a playground cleanup before the start of each school year.
