Speeding Motorcyclist Hits Parked Car, Police Say

The unidentified man who struck a parked car in a Hayden Island neighborhood early Monday sustained life-threatening injuries, police said.

PORTLAND, OR — A motorcyclist sustained serious, life-threatening injuries early Monday when he collided with a parked car on the Eastside of Hayden Island, according to police.

Officers with the Portland Police Bureau's North Precinct were dispatched to a motorcycle crash in the 300-block of Northeast Tomahawk Island Drive just after 1 a.m. June 25. The adult male motorcycle rider was the only person injured in the crash, police said.

Investigators believe the man may have been speeding before he collided with a legally parked car.
