Witnesses reportedly told investigators the Rav4 was speeding west on East Burnside Street when it left the roadway, apparently traveled through a small patch of grass, through a hedgerow and into the corner of the duplex.

Immediately following the crash, three black males were seen running from the area — leaving the injured driver behind, police said.
