Three Charged In Serial Thefts From Portland Microsoft Store

Three people were arrested separately and accused of stealing from the Microsoft Store at Pioneer Place on multiple occasions.

PORTLAND, OR – Three people are accused of a series of thefts from the Microsoft store at Pioneer Place over the past four months. The three, who are not accused of having worked together, are believed responsible for the theft of about $50,000 worth of merchandise.

The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office says that Michael Shepherd, Seth Colson, and Natalie Pence are all charged in connection with the crimes, which were committed over a four-month period.

The investigation was conducted by the Portland Police Bureau’s Detective Coordination Team and the Neighborhood and Strategic Prosecution Unit within the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office after receiving information about ongoing thefts at the store.

On Nov. 29, officers set up surveillance at the store, hoping to catch some of the repeat thieves.

They first caught Shepherd who they believe stole more than $20,000 in merchandise in at least 28 visits to the store.

Next they arrested Colson who they accused of having stolen that day and the day before.

They also arrested Pence, who is accused of having stolen at least $10,000 in merchandise over the course of several visits to the store.
