Union Station Stabbing Leaves One Injured, Causes TriMet Delays
The stabbing was reported just after 8 a.m. Wednesday. The victim sustained a serious injury but is expected to live, officials said.

PORTLAND, OR – A stabbing near Union Station in Northwest downtown Portland Wednesday left one man seriously wounded and caused TriMet service delays on the MAX Green and Orange/Yellow lines. TriMet resumed normal service just before 9:30 a.m.
One person was arrested by Portland police and taken to Multnomah County Jail, officials said. The injured victim was taken to hospital but is expected to live.
Police were dispatched to the stabbing just after 8 a.m. April 18. The two individuals involved reportedly had some kind of altercation prior to the assailant using a "sharp bladed instrument" to wound the victim, police said.

Police will continue to investigate the incident. Anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation is asked to call Portland police at 503-823-0479.
UPDATE: MAX Green, Orange/Yellow lines now servicing the Union Station/NW 5th & Glisan St platform again following an earlier closure due to police activity.
