University Of Portland Announces 20 Games To Air On KOIN/KRCW

PORTLAND, OR — Like the Portland Pilots? It's about to get much easier to see their games.

The University of Portland signed a deal with KOIN and KRCW to air 20 games over the course of the season. The first game will be this Saturday when the women's soccer team plays Santa Clara.

The game will be on KOIN.

The 19 other games will involve the Pilots' men's soccer, men's basketball, women's basketball, and baseball teams.

"We are thrilled to work with such an engaging television partner in the local market," Portland's Vice President for Athletics, Scott Leykam, said.

"KOIN/KRCW recognizes the value of local sports to the community and we are proud to showcase our student-athletes and programs to a wider audience."

The Pilots' women's soccer team has a storied history. They've won the NCAA championship twice and made it to the final four (known as the College Cup) six other times. They can also count such USWNT stars such as Megan Rapinoe, Stephanie Cox, and Angie Woznuk among its alumni.
