Water Bureau Project Will Close SW Hills Intersection

The day-long construction project will require the intersection to close from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sept. 22.

PORTLAND, OR — The Portland Water Bureau on Tuesday announced an upcoming road closure affecting an intersection along Southwest Broadway Drive in Portland's Southwest Hills area. The closure is reportedly construction-related.

The intersection of Southwest Broadway Drive, Southwest Davenport Street and Southwest Davenport Court will close to traffic in all directions beginning at 8 a.m. Sept. 22. The closure will reportedly last until around 11 p.m., or when the work is completed.

The closure will allow Water Bureau crews to install a new water pressure regulator, which should improve water reliability in the area, officials said. The regulator being replaced has reportedly reached the end of its productive life and is due for replacement.
